PAMELA RUSSO
A native New Yorker with proud Puerto Rican, Ecuadorian and Italian roots that helped shape my love for all genres of music.
Started out as a singer but was fortunate enough to work in other capacities of creating music for over 30 years.
Be it fronting my own bands or working background sessions with known artists like Lisa Fischer and Will Downing,
I was directly involved in the pre-
production and co-writing of my own solo album released in 1989. My single “ It Works for Me “ went to #11 on the Billboard hot 100 that year.
After my time touring to promote my album, I collaborated with Kyle West (production on Al B. Sure) on a song called “ Love takes Time” that landed on Ralph Tresvant’s (New Edition) solo album. The album went platinum.
In 1991, I moved out of New York to Pennsylvania to raise a family however still involved in original studio projects vocal coaching and performing live.
My time spent around musicians and producers in the studio has taught me to understand what it takes to make a hit record and a sense of knowing how to nurture struggling gifted artists on their journey to be heard.
I cannot think of anything more gratifying than that.
